ALCHEMY DMC Argentina is proud to present bespoke glamping experiences for the forthcoming 2020 Solar Eclipse in Northern Patagonia. This breathtaking astronomic phenomenon will only be observed over a range of 100 kilometers and the epicenter will be at Piedra del Aguila.
Due to its matchless scenery, we have developed exclusive camp sites in the area for only a few privileged guests.
Our team is ready to host this unique natural spectacle, and provide not only great comfort immersed in remote nature, but also a collection of activities and moments for life!

We would like to introduce our two exclusive program proposals:

1) Solar Eclipse in Patagonia – Exclusive Camp by 
ALCHEMY DMC Argentina & Tres Ríos Lodge:

Exclusive glamping set at Tres Rios Lodge in San Martin de los Andes hosted by its owner Lucas and Sergio, ALCHEMY DMC’s founder. This camp setup will have 6 bell tents for a range of 10 to 15 guests maximum, and will be fully equipped with toilets, common areas, private chef on site and full services in a private property, only 1000 meters from the lodge surrounded by rivers and trees, immersed in Collon Cura Valley.
> For the Eclipse Day, we will cross the internal river and drive 2 hours to reach the main G-point, where we will have a private lounge area for our guests.

Program at Glance – 3 Days | 2 Nights

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13TH 2020
Arrive at the Local Airport of San Martin de los Andes (CPC). Meet ALCHEMY DMC Argentina team, ground transfer to Tres Rios Ranch, approximate drive time of 40 min. Welcome drinks upon arrival.
Today we will enjoy the breathtaking scenery overlooking the Lanin Volcano (12000 ft) driving around the area, along with wildlife such as Red Stag deer, Wild boar, Guanacos, Condors, eagles and other species.
Typical Argentine BBQ – Asado Dinner cooked on the fire.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 14TH 2020 – “ECLIPSE DAY”
Early start at 7:30 AM followed by a short ground transfer on a 4WD vehicle to the Confluence of two of the most important rivers in Neuquén State, the Chimehuin and Alumine rivers. We will be crossing right at the confluence on a drift boat to meet our shuttle that will drive us to Piedra del Aguila, where we have the private setting for the eclipse with a comfortable lounge area for our guests. Estimated drive time is 1:30 hours.
Our eclipse concierge and experienced team will be waiting for us: Telescopes, special eclipse glasses, yoga mats and other special gear will be provided. Spa moment on site.
The eclipse will start around midday so we want to be at the site at least one hour before the event.
11:45 AM the moon will begin to eclipse the sun, 1:07 PM the full eclipse (crown effect) will take place for 2 minutes following the crown. After that, the sun will start showing until 2:35 PM when the solar eclipse is over.
Lunch will be served during the experience.
After astronomic experience, return to the camp site. Dinner in a unique setting.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15TH 2020
After breakfast, time for a short drive to the river for those that want to take some pictures or hike to different locations nearby. Midday transfer back to the local Airport in time to fly back to Buenos Aires or next destination.

2) Solar Eclipse in Patagonia – Private Camps by 
ALCHEMY DMC Argentina:

Settled right at the epicenter Piedra del Aguila, we offer two different types of accommodation to choose from: Bell Tents or Premium Domes. This is a 100% private and bespoke camp located in the remote steppe, including different activities on site, such as hiking, mountain bikes and SUP.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13TH 2020
Around 2:00 PM your guests will meet with our ground team, in either Bariloche or San Martin de Los Andes, to take them to our private campsite in Piedra del Aguila (Eclipse G-Point). Estimate land transfer: 3 hours.
Tea time upon arrival. Hiking experience to enjoy the natural scenery and wonders of the Patagonian Steppe.
We will be located on the lands of an old farmhouse. The combination of the ranch’s natural outdoor beauty with our luxury additions makes it the perfect spot to enjoy the Eclipse.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 14TH 2020 – “ECLIPSE DAY”
After breakfast, our on-site eclipse concierge, will host and guide the guests throughout the Eclipse; the campsite will also have a telescope to get a closer view of the eclipse and an astronomer will share specific scientific information about this incredible phenomenon.
Beginning at 11:45 AM the moon will begin to eclipse the sun, around 1:07 PM the full eclipse (crown effect) will take place for 2 minutes following the crown. After that, the sun will slowly start showing until 2:35 PM when the solar eclipse is over. In total, the eclipse will take approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.
After the eclipse finishes, the guests will be able to enjoy an array of different activities: from relaxing to active, immersing themselves in this remote area (1 activity per person, per day included, must be selected in advance).

After breakfast, the guest will be taken back to their hotel or airport, in either Bariloche or San Martín de Los Andes.
