About the Series
The Taste Makers is a cinematic series created by ALCHEMY DMC, dedicated to celebrating the essence of Argentina’s most inspiring chefs, bartenders, and gastronomic visionaries.
Each episode is a portrait — an intimate encounter with those who transform ingredients into emotion, technique into art, and tradition into innovation. Through their hands and stories, we discover the true meaning of Argentine hospitality, creativity, and passion.
Filmed across kitchens, vineyards, bars, and hidden corners of the country, The Taste Makers invites viewers to connect with the people who are redefining Argentina’s culinary identity — from the fire to the glass, from the field to the table.
This is more than a series. It’s a journey into flavor, memory, and inspiration. A tribute to those who craft experiences that stay with us long after the last bite.
CHAPTER 1
Seba Garcia
Recognized as one of Argentina’s most influential bartenders, Sebastián García has redefined the art of mixology in Latin America. With a career that bridges tradition and innovation, his creations blend technique, storytelling, and a deep sense of place.
Founder of some of Buenos Aires’ most iconic bars — including Presidente Bar, ranked among The World’s 50 Best Bars — Sebastián represents a new generation of hospitality: creative, authentic, and proudly Argentine.
Behind every cocktail, there’s a story.
And Sebastián knows how to tell it — one drink at a time.
CHAPTER 2
El Obrero
Hidden in the colorful heart of La Boca, El Obrero is one of Buenos Aires’ most beloved and iconic bodegones. Since 1954, this family-run restaurant has been a meeting place for artists, workers, and dreamers — a true temple of simple, honest Argentine cuisine.
Its walls are covered with photos, memories, and the spirit of old Buenos Aires. The menu remains timeless: grilled meats, homemade pastas, and flavors that feel like home.
More than a restaurant, El Obrero is a living piece of the city’s soul — where tradition, warmth, and history come together at the table.
CHAPTER 3
Juan / Florida Garden
Florida Garden is more than a café. It’s a pause in time — a Buenos Aires ritual still alive in the heart of the city.
Between worn marble counters, polished brass and the constant rhythm of coffee cups, the place holds stories that were never written down. One of them has a name: Juan.
He has been behind the counter since 1989. Not just serving coffee, but reading people, understanding silences, and keeping the rhythm of a place that has seen decades pass by. He knows the order before it’s spoken, who drinks it short, who needs it strong, and who comes not only for the coffee, but for the feeling of being recognized.
In a world that moves fast, Juan remains.
And in every cup, Florida Garden keeps telling its story.
CHAPTER 4
Sebastian / Fogón
Fogón Asado is more than a restaurant. It’s a ritual built around fire — an intimate way of understanding Argentine identity.
Between glowing embers, slow rhythms and carefully chosen cuts, the experience unfolds with precision and intention. Every movement matters. Every detail has a reason. At the center of it all, there is a story shaped over time.
One of those stories has a name: Sebastián Cardamoni.
Born in La Plata and raised within the world of gastronomy, his journey began long before Fogón. Today, as Executive Chef, he carries a vision where fire is not just a technique, but a language — one that speaks of tradition, respect, and craft.
Recognized as #22 in the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants, Fogón is not chasing recognition. It’s building something deeper.
In a world that moves fast, the fire still demands time.
And in every flame, Sebastián keeps telling his story.
